With the AFLW season set to commence, the Brisbane Lions AFLQ team have launched their season with a full vehicle wrap which will make its way around the city’s CBD over a 6 week period.
With the support of Ads on Wheels, the Brisbane Lion’s AFLW branded vehicle also provides significant exposure to the team’s sponsors including new partner hearing health technology company Audeara as well as construction engineering firm BMD and Bond University.
Sally Waghorn, managing director of Ads on Wheels said Brisbane Lions AFLW was the first national sporting brand client.
“It’s great that the Brisbane Lions see this as one way to promote their women’s team as they head into the start of the season in late August. The wrapped vehicle is a Hyundai who are a long term sponsor of the Lions so there’s great synergy there as well.
“The opportunity to showcase three key sponsors in Audeara, BMD and Bond University is a great way to value add the partnership as the vehicle makes its way across Brisbane’s CBD. It’s an impressive wrap dominated by the strong maroon colours of the Lions, it’s unmissable and a great way to raise awareness and cut through for the Lion’s AFLW team in a city which is well represented in all major national sporting codes.”
Brisbane Lions general manager commercial Rachel Condos-Fields said it was the first time the Lions have embraced marketing via Ads on Wheels and it was a great opportunity to use a major sponsor in Hyundai as part of this campaign.
“It’s been really impressive to see the driver cover so many kilometres through an interactive heat map and dashboard reporting which we have been provided. It’s great to see in such a short period of time this campaign has delivered an estimated 227,668 impressions and over 42 hours driving on road from as far south as Meadowbrook, right up to Strathpine north of Brisbane.”
